Why the Astros are the best team in the American League

On Thursday, the Astros won their 11th game in a row, which puts them in first place in the AL West by 2.5 games and their 47–28 recorded is the best in the American league. There are 3 reasons why they are the best team in the AL. One is their offense is outstanding- they lead all of baseball in runs scored with 437. They also have 5 guys with 10 home runs or more and Michael Brantley leads all of baseball in batting average hitting .355. Despite Justin Verlander recovering from Tommy John surgery, the Astros starting pitching is solid Zack Greinke, Luis Garica and Jose Urquidy are all having really good years. The last reason why they are the best team in the AL is they have a really good closer in Ryan Pressly. He is 11 for 12 in saves this year and he has an ERA of 1.80. In 2021, the Astros have been the most complete team in baseball and it looks like they are going to be tough to beat again in October.
