On Friday night, the Suns beat the Nuggets 116 to 102. They were led by Chris Paul and Devin Booker. Paul had 27 Points and Booker had 28. What Chris Paul has done for the Suns this year should not go unnoticed- He has been the guy who has changed the culture in Phoenix. There are 2 reasons why he’s changed the culture. One is they are improved on defense. Last year, the Suns gave up an average of 113 points a game which was 20th in the NBA. This year, they gave up an average of 109 points per a game which is 7th in the NBA. The second and most important reason he’s changed the culture is they are having the best season they’ve had in a decade. Devin Booker has been great and the Suns have missed the playoffs every year he’s been with the team for the exception of this one and in the 5 years before that, they missed the playoffs every year. When the Suns traded for Chris Paul this offseason, a lot of people questioned the move, but it’s turned out to be one of the best moves of this offseason. Now CP3 has the Suns one win away from getting to the conference finals for the first time since 2010 and, ironically, that was the last time they were in the postseason.
