On Tuesday, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski tested positive for Covid-19 and he won’t be able to coach the game Sunday Night. If you look at what he’s done with this team this year, this is definitely going to be a loss. There are 2 reasons why this is going to be a loss. One of them is that the Browns have found an identity with him as head coach. Stefanski knew very early that the Browns best chance of being successful this year was to run the ball behind Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. They did that successfully; they were 3rd in the league in rushing yards and that was the biggest reason why they finished 11–5 and got to the playoffs. This now leads to my 2nd reason, because they were able to run the ball so well, Baker Mayfield has had a bounce back season. Last year, Baker threw 21 INT’s and had a passer rating 78.8, while this year, he only threw 8 INT’s and had 26 TD passes with a passer rating of 95.9. Stefanski having a run first offense has really helped Baker set up a lot of play action, which Baker is really good off of and he hasn’t faced anywhere near as much pressure as he did last year. I think the Browns are competitive in this game. I got them losing 24–16, but without their Head Coach it’s going to be very difficult for Baker Mayfield to get his first playoff win.
