NFL Week 15 Picks
By Hector Vazquez
Season Record: 151–56–1
This past week (week 14), I was able to finish with a sub-par record of 10–6. some close games that could have gone either way, while others were just out of reach. None the less, I continue to have a winning weekly record. Could that change with the last three weeks coming to hand? Here we go…
1- Los Angeles Chargers vs Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders have allowed more than 200 rushing yards each of the last two weeks, and that can be a concern. However, the Chargers are 1–5 on the road this season. Back in week 9, the Raiders won 31–26 despite Justin Herbert going 28–42 326 yds and 2 touchdowns. My pick: Las Vegas Raiders
2- Buffalo Bills vs Denver Broncos
Buffalo made a gigantic statement on Sunday Night Football by defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers, however, Drew Lock had a good game last week passing for four touchdown passes. I believe Buffalo continues to ride the New York Express. During their three-game win streak, the Bills defense has given up only 18 points per game. My pick: Buffalo Bills
3- Carolina Panthers vs Green Bay Packers
The Packers currently hold the top spot in the NFC, and I believe this game will be a close one. Teddy Bridgewater can easily test the Packers defense, however, Aaron Rodgers is on the other side and is playing MVP caliber football. My pick: Green Bay Packers
4- Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Atlanta Falcons
While the Falcons continue to struggle in the run game, Tom Brady continues to rev up his team for the playoffs with a deep group of receivers. My pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
5- San Francisco 49ers vs Dallas Cowboys
The Niners struggled on offense last week and they are playing a Cowboys team that is inconsistent even though they have their best performance last week. I see this game as a toss-up. My pick: San Francisco 49ers
6- Detroit Lions vs Tennessee Titans
The Lions rank 29th in the league against the run and Matthew Stafford’s status is uncertain. Derrick Henry should have a big performance this week. My pick: Tennessee Titans
7- Houston Texans vs Indianapolis Colts
Philip Rivers should continue to get help from running back Jonathan Taylor and expose the Texans’ defense. Deshaun Watson should keep it close for at least one half. My pick: Indianapolis Colts
8- New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins
The Pats won the week one meeting 21–11. The last seven meetings between these two clubs have resulted in them taking turns winning. Miami Dolphins lead series 56–54–0. Must win for Miami if they are going to make a push into the playoffs. My pick: Miami Dolphins
9- Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings won their last meeting 19–13 in week 10, However, Chicago has found a bit of a groove averaging 30ppg in the last three weeks. They proved me wrong last week when they demolished the Houston Texans. My pick: Chicago Bears
10- Seattle Seahawks vs Washington Football Team
Two huge wins the last two weeks for the WFT, and their defense has allowed just 14ppg through a four-game winning streak. Seattle to have found their rhythm on defense. while WFT is fighting for a division title, Seattle is fighting for home field. My pick: Seattle Seahawks
11- Jacksonville Jaguars vs Baltimore Ravens
A wild and crazy ending to Monday night football for the Ravens, coming out with a narrow victory. they have little room for error if they are to make the playoffs. Baltimore will hopefully key in on their running game since Jacksonville is allowing 200 rushing yards per game the last three weeks. My pick: Baltimore Ravens
12- New York Jets vs Los Angeles Rams
(J)ust (E)nd (T)he (S)season. My pick: Los Angeles Rams
13- Philadelphia Eagles vs Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murray vs Jalen Hurts.. two quarterbacks that can offer an element to the running game. this will be interesting as the battle of the birds collides at State Farm Stadium. My pick: Arizona Cardinals
14- Kansas City Chiefs vs New Orleans Saints
Could this be a Superbowl preview? The Saints have a lot of pressure. Can the home-field advantage prove worthy for the Saints or will Patrick Mahomes’ undefeated record indoors continue for the young MVP? My pick: Kansas City Chiefs
15- Cleveland Browns vs New York Giants
The Giants have a big hurdle to jump if they plan on upsetting the Browns who has a tremendous running attack with Chubb and Hunt. BUT I NEVER BET AGAINST MY TEAM… BIG BLUE WRECKING CREW!!!!! My pick: New York Giants
16- Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals
The Steelers are looking to get right with this game and I believe they can exploit the Bengals -6 turnover ratio since Burrow season-ending injury… My pick: Pittsburgh Steelers
