Last night proved that the Titans are not Super Bowl contenders
By Steve Risser
Last night, the Tennessee Titans lost to their division rival the Indianapolis Colts 34–17 to drop to 2nd in the AFC South. The Titans might be 6–3 but they’re not Super Bowl Contenders and there’s 3 reasons why. One of them is their defense isn’t good at all their 25th in the league in Yards per game, 27th in Passing Yards and 18th in Rushing Yards, most importantly their 19th in points allowing 26 points per game. Right before the season the Titans singed Jadeveon Clowney but that hasn’t helped at all he has no sacks and the Titans are 27th in the league in sacks with 11 and have major issues getting off the field on 3rd down. The 2nd reason is their Special Teams is absolutely pathetic it was a big reason why the Titans collapsed in the 2nd half last night a 27 yard punt and a blocked punt lead to the Colts scoring 14 points. The Major issue thou has been kicker Stephen Gostkowski he missed a big field goal last night in the 4th quarter and is 12 for 20 kicking field goals this season and he’s 2 for 7 between 40 and 49 Yards. Lastly even thou the Titans offense is really good but Ryan Tannehill is not good enough to win a Super Bowl with. He lost his Left Tackle Taylor Lewan, their passing game is dependent on their running game and even in the playoff games he won last year he threw for under 100 yards in both there’s a reason the Dolphins moved on from him and it sure is working out for them. The Titans still have a good chance to win their division because the Colts aren’t a great team either but their not super bowl contenders this season.
