In Game 4 Kershaw of NLCS Kershaw got the start against the Braves he pitched 5 innings and gave up 4 runs not an awful start but it’s not what we see from him in the regular season and that has happened time in and time again thorough his career. There’s no debate that he’s been one of the best pitchers in the baseball for a decade his career recorded is 175–76 with an ERA of 2.43. but in the postseason the numbers are drastically different his record is 11–12 with an ERA of 4.31. Kershaw also hasn’t been good in big moments there are many examples of him coming up small in these situations in game 6 of the 2013 NLCS against the Cardinals he gave up 7 runs in 4 innings and the Dodgers ended up losing that series in 6, in game 4 of the 2014 NLDS against the Cards he gave up a 3 run homer to Matt Adams in the 7th inning and the Dodgers lost that game and the series in 4, in game 6 of the 2016 NLCS against the Cubs in a game the Dodgers needed to win he went 5 innings and gave up 5 runs and the Dodgers ended up losing in 6.

In the 2017 World Series against the Astros Kershaw was given and 4–0 and 7–4 lead in game 5 and gave up both and the Dodgers lost that game and eventually the series in 7 games, Last year he was asked to come out of relief in game 5 of the NLDS against the Nationals and you can take a wild guess what happened again he gave up back to back homers to Rendon and Soto and the Dodgers lost the series in 5. Lastly Clayton Kershaw is going to the Hall of Fame there’s no question about that, but his lack of postseason success separates him from the great pitchers in this game.
