Today the Tigers and AJ Hinch agreed to a multi-year deal to be their manager Hinch is back in the game after being suspended and then fired after the Astros cheating scandal. Hitch is coming off 5 very successful years in Houston were the Astros had 4 playoff appearances, 2 pennants and 1 World Championship even thou that title is in question because of the cheating scandal. Hinch success with the Tigers will depend on GM Al Avila who has not done a good job since taking over as Tigers GM in 2015 were they have only had one winning season, my point is when Hinch managed the Diamondbacks in 2009 and 2010 the team did not have success because of the lack of talent on the team when he was in Houston the team did have success because of the all the talent they had. Lastly this is a controversial hire but with all the success he had in Houston it was hard to see that he was going to be out of the game for long.
